Thank you to the volunteers

On behalf of Battle Town Council and the residents, I would like to pay tribute to the many volunteers who have so willingly and diligently responded to the needs of vulnerable and shielded people throughout the COVID-19 situation.

The response from residents to the Council’s appeal for volunteers was amazing. At such a challenging and uncertain time, the willingness of so many to help with tasks such as distributing information leaflets, delivering shopping and collecting prescriptions was heart-warming.

The lockdown is being eased little by little. As we move through the recovery stage, the volunteers’ contributions will continue to be vital for many residents. I thank each and every one of ‘our volunteers’ from the bottom of my heart.
