The varied impacts of COVID-19 have been undeniably felt by all, with local businesses being particularly hard-hit by the economic aftermath of the pandemic. Battle Town Council is excited to announce that £10,000 has been set aside from General Reserves and is for grants of up to £500 for local businesses and organisations.

The grant is open to applicants from across the town and is intended to assist with additional expenditure incurred as a direct result of the rather unexpected COVID-19 pandemic. Grants can also be used to provide special services designed to benefit the residents of our Civil Parish during the recovery period of this pandemic.

Examples of such ‘additional expenditure’ can be seen in many ways, for example: safety equipment for businesses; special equipment for organisations offering support; or easy clean play equipment for playgroups. For the guidance document and information on the criteria required to receive this grant, please see the Support for Businesses sub page of the COVID page of the website or click this link .

If you feel your business could benefit from this grant, please complete the application at POST COVID-19 APPLICATION and return by email enquiries@battletowncouncil.gov.uk or hard copy to The Almonry, High Street, Battle, TN33 0EA.
